I am supporting Sandy Wollschlager in the September 12th Primary. One reason I support her is that she recognizes that energy efficiency equals common sense or as she likes to say, “common cents.” Sandy supports offering tax incentives for home-owners who embrace efficiency. This is pennies on the dollar when the cost of foreign oil is factored in. Our local economies will get a boost as well when we consider that local merchants will be selling the appliances and insulation in addition to providing the installation skills. It’s a win/win idea whose time has come.
I know we can count on Sandy Wollschlager for common sense leadership as our state representative. Join me in voting for Sandy in the September 12th Primary.

To The Editor:
We need change in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Sandy Wollschlager has the strong leadership skills needed to facilitate that change. She has a broad knowledge of issues most important to Goodhue county residents. With her research and problem solving skills, a personality that makes her well received by her peers, and a common sense attitude she will quickly gain the recognition and respect needed of fellow House members. This is of prime importance if we are to get solutions to some of our major issues in education, healthcare, high property taxes, energy needs and better paying jobs which Sandy has identified as major concerns of residents of Goodhue County and rural Minnesota.
She has been volunteer science teacher and a Cannon Falls School Board member. Education is one of her key issues. She won an environmental award from 3M, where she is a Research and Development Sr. Specialist in Regulatory Affairs and has been working with many diverse groups successfully for many years.
Endorsements are important to a successful political campaign. Sandy and her opponent were recently interviewed by the state AFL-CIO. Sandy won their endorsement
A vote for Sandy will help ensure a much needed strong voice in our state House of Representatives.

Letter to the Editor:
I look forward to voting for Sandy Wollschlager on September 12th. For the following reasons I encourage others to vote for Sandy, too, to represent our district in the Minnesota House of Representatives:
¬She has good listening and comprehension skills in order to represent her constituents, and to work with other legislators.
¬Through her work at 3M, she has a good grasp on environmental issues and knows how to effectively deal with them.
¬Given her eight years on the Cannon Falls School Board, Sandy is well aware of educational concerns and has a strategy for addressing those concerns.
¬Sandy is highly motivated and well equipped to research and respond to topics that come to the legislature.

To the Editor:
I feel compelled to call your attention to an error in the August 23rd Beacon. The reporter indicated that Sandy Wollschlager’s DFL opponent was endorsed by the District Convention in April. I was at the 28A endorsing convention and I know for a fact that there was no endorsement. In fact the convention was disappointing and frustrating for the manner in which it was conducted.
Sandy is my choice for the Sept. 12 primary not only for her integrity and strength of character, but also because Sandy can win this seat for the DFL in November.
Pat Jones
To the Editor:
Over the past six months I have worked closely with Sandy Wollschlager on her DFL campaign to be your state representative. Her energy is contagious as she visits with voters, working six or seven days a week on the campaign, all the while caring for her family and her job. Sandy will give back to District 28A this same enthusiastic desire to engage our communities and create a more responsive and honest state government. I have also discussed with Sandy, at length, the issues of concern to me. While we don’t agree on all issues (what elected official can agree with all their constituents?) I do know that her positions on issues are insightful, comprehensive, and take into account the well being of all Minnesotans
I want the brightest elected officials, dedicated and willing to work on creating a sustainable future, economically and environmentally. I want our legislature to maintain solid education and health care policies that support all families and respect an individual’s right to responsible choices. Sandy has this dedication and competence.
I truly believe that Sandy Wollschlager is the caliber of candidate that comes along only once in a generation. Choosing to vote for Sandy on September 12th will bring her leadership for our district one step closer to reality.

To the Editor:
We are going to vote for Sandy Wollschlager on the 12th of September and again in November because we believe that Sandy is a person who will not just talk about issues and then pursue a personal agenda, but will work for the people of this district on basic issues that address the quality of life in our communities. She will not just talk the talk, she will work with the people of the district: to create environments in our communities that are safe and clean – to provide affordable and adequate health care coverage for all of us – and to make sure our schools have the resources to prepare our children for a life in this world. We believe that Sandy together with people of this district can make ‘good things’ happen for our communities. We encourage you to join us in our support for Sandy. Jack and Diane Nordgaard

To the Editor:
In the September 12th primary for district 28A, we strongly support Sandy Wollschlager. Sandy has proven her consistent representation of the DFL party and its platform. For her, key principles matter. Over the last five years, she campaigned first and foremost for human dignity and the civil rights of all.
Sandy is an excellent communicator. She listens, responds, asks questions, and remembers the heart of her conversations. She speaks clearly to key issues and doesn't run away from difficult ones. Whatever her personal opinions, she does not let them dominate her concern for the good of everyone.
Sandy demonstrates the power of education in her own life. She gives freely of her knowledge through volunteering and civic participation. Primarily, she is our strongest proponent for educational opportunities for everyone.
We cannot imagine anyone more ideal than Sandy as our representative in the Minnesota legislature.
Sincerely,
Patricia A. and Roger Sween

Sandy has that dynamic combination of energy, intellect and integrity that would make her a force for positive change in the Minnesota legislature. I watched her engage with our visiting teenage grandchildren during her last campaign, and before you knew it they were on the street handing out buttons and brochures with great enthusiasm. She’s a listener, too, and would work well with people across the aisle. Minnesota needs to reemphasize education once again, and Sandy has the experience to be a leader in that area.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
(posted 7-10-06)
As Sandy Wollschlager supporters, we want to share our excitement about her candidacy. She has proven leadership in the areas of school finance, healthcare and the environment. Where does she get that experience? A combination of her eight years on the Cannon Falls School Board, 25 years at 3M working on environmental, worker safety, manufacturing and health care matters – and her advanced degrees. Those are the kinds of credentials it takes to achieve results in St. Paul. Sandy is the candidate who can best articulate not only the issues, but the solutions, and make them reality at the Capitol on things that matter most to us, like education, property taxes, and health care. Sandy is a leader we can trust.

Sincerely,
Cecelia Dodge and Mike Martini
